Help Us “Amplify” Capital City Village March 2-3

Many thanks to all our members, volunteers and donors for helping Capital City Village grow and, more importantly, serve seniors in new and better ways. The Amplify Austin 24-hour giving period is coming up next week and we need your help again.

But first, did you know that in 2016 CCV volunteers served 607 times for 1369 hours? Our volunteers serve our members by driving them and helping in other ways, like handy work and tech help.

A significant accomplishment for us in 2016 was the new Village Connections Program, funded by RGK Family Foundation, that matches trained volunteers with high-needs members. This program is changing lives!

And we have big plans, as we begin the necessary steps to develop a second village in South Austin.

Please help Capital City Village continue our important work by participating in this year’s AmplifyAustin campaign.

Here are the ways you can do that:

  • Join us for the kickoff party at 6pmThursday March 2 at a member home. There will be food, drink, fun and an opportunity to donate to CCV or any other nonprofit participating in Amplify. Just RSVP to info@capitalcityvillage.org and we’ll send you the address.
  • If you’re not available for the Thursday evening party and would like to give in person, there will be a party atmosphere at our new office Friday, March 3, 2:30-4:00pm. Come on by and see the new place at 1301 S IH-35, Suite 206!
  • Or if you like to give from the comfort of home, go to AmplifyCapital City Village! and click “Donate Now”. You do not have to wait until March 2-3 to donate online. You can do it now and “forget about it”!

I Live Here, I Give Here has built this campaign for the benefit of the whole community to make a powerful connection between the donor (changemakers) and nonprofits (solution providers) that will make this the best place to live, work and play.
