One thing became obvious at Capital City Village’s summer picnic on Sunday, June 29 — Villagers like dessert! Seventeen of us showed up for the pot-luck supper at the Balcones Woods Clubhouse that evening, bringing chocolate cookies, cookies, fudge, more cookies, and lots of watermelon to accompany barbecued brisket, chicken, and sausage from Dickey’s.
It was an easy social event with members chatting during the social hour before eating and while sharing their suppers. The highlight was that four new members showed up!
